This past Friday,, Deecember 18, 2015, Santa helpers, brothers Bobby Scanga, Dan Flaherty, Mike Leyden, Tom Sanders, Remo Canova and Walt Lublanecki took part in the annual toy drive at the Father English Center. With the help of Dan’s van and Mike’s SUV we were able to pick up hundreds of toys from Morris Catholic High School in Denville , St. Cecelia Church in Rockaway, and at several other locations in northern NJ and deliver them to the Center. We also helped in unloading and sorting the various toys. Many families with young children were waiting in line along the sidewalk in front of the Center for the food pantry. Maybe next year “Santa” will also visit the young ones in line and give them candy canes or something. Bobby Scanga played Santa Clause for the second straight year and again did a remarkable job.
