The Most Reverend Bishop Sweeney officiated at the Mass of Ordination of Priests at Saint John The Baptist Cathedral in Paterson this morning.  Two transitional deacons, Rev. Mr. Krzysztof Tyszkop and Rev. Mr. Strarli Jose Castanos Rodriguez, were ordained into the priesthood to serve the Paterson Diocese. The ordination was a wonderful and moving ceremony.

Our council has offered both financial and prayerful support to Starli for the last five years.  Having had the opportunity to get to know Father Starli during his formation, observing his commitment and dedication to his faith, I am highly confident that he will provide wonderful spiritual and inspirational leadership to many people.  He has been assigned to work at St. John Cathedral in Paterson.

My brothers, I wanted you to know of Father Starli’s ordination. More importantly, I wanted to thank you all for your faithful and consistent commitment to facilitating religious vocations. By supporting vocations, we are fostering the future of the church and helping to spread our faith to others.

Please join me in wishing Father Starli well as he pursues his priestly ministry and continue to pray for him (and all priests and deacons that provide us with spiritual guidance).
